Evening all, had some fault codes (P0105 & P0235) come up own my 07 Diesel Mondeo. Says there is a fault with the Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor. Anyone changed one before? Is it something I can clean or will I need to replace it? Thanks in advance!

They are normally reliable. It’s located on the metal pipe that connects to EGR pipe. You’ll have to go under the car to get to it though.

Cheers for your response! Wondering whether it might be something else then rather than a faulty sensor? I’ll do some more searching!

    Which engine is it?

Think i’d be looking at boost pipes first .

2 litre jobie, had a smoke bomb thing run through it to check or leaks and already changed the turbo pipe recently

Reasonably easy to get to… Never actually changed one though. Probably as likely to be a connector as the sensor itself, I’d give the contacts a clean, check the wiring etc before spending a penny.

Cheers sounds like checking it over first is the way to go then! The car was functioning fine last night then could feel the power gone and the light on when I started it up this morning!
