There was talk of an Avon product that stops these little feckers from bitting a while back!
After a trip to Afan on sunday, i have been left looking like a peporoni pizza, and the itching i driving me mad. And thats with after bite!
So, anyone remember what it’s called?
    Cheers…….

Just had a look in the wifes book, it’s not there! Ive just written the discription on the sheet, hope she gets the drift.
Hope it doesn’t smell to “girly”

I’m not surprised the midges can’t resist you 😆

It’s the swarms of sticky flying things round the range road that I hate, what the hell are they? You ride through them and they stick to you, you encouter them?

Avon SSS lessens the problem but I get bitten by midges whatever I’ve sprayed on if I stop still. Best thing is to keep moving or cover up.

Yep, seen them ziggy. Although they don’t really bother me, unless i swallow 1.
Its the midges that get me, give me stingy nettles, wasp stings,or even bloody mozies. With midges you don’t really notice them, i have about 50 odd bites mostly on the legs, and a few on the arms.

Mr Trotter – have you tried Deet – 50% at least – its the only thing I have found that really works when the feckers are swarming in clouds

I have tried many things (I used to work a lot outside in the Western and Central Highlands) and the only stuff that really works is 100% DEET. Just don’t get it in your eyes or on your lips. Oh and it strips the paint off a pencil….

I punctured at Nant-yr-Arian on the marshland section near Nant-y-Moch last week and the feckers ate me alive while the rest of the group elected to climb up the decent we’d just don just to get away from the pesky buzzing, flying teeth.
