    Happy spannering Ossify.

Always thought GTX was an abbreviation of Gortex too,They look goppin (not as goppin as the rrp) but wouldn’t say no to winning a pair .

I love how I’m the only mountain biker and STW member in our household, but somehow the Megasack ditty and Darth Vader-esque voiceover are already inextricably associated with our Christmas.  It’s often Mrs CS who reminds me to do my Megasack entry for the day. I’m even not working this Christmas, for the first time in living memory – I’m already a winner! 🤣

Before it sinks in and my brain melts into a puddle, I’ll ask the question I came here to ask:

How do we answer questions like this?  Is there an expected format? Is it read by human? AI?
eg say that shoe weighs 950g, we could answer:
    950
    950g
    950 g
    950 grams
    950 grammes
    0.95kg
    etc…

They won’t let you win two days on the trot, will they?

Would have thought number + g would be fine.

I’m sole Judge Judy and executioner so you could, at a stretch say there’s a human intelligence behind it 🙂

The way it works is I use random.org to pick a number from the list of entries. I then check that entry has the right answer. If they don’t I pick again.

Well done Ossify, great prize to win. I just put the numbers in for the answer, hope Mark accepts this (if my number randomly appears)

Don’t worry. I’m not judging anyone on spellings 🙂

How do we answer questions like this?

You could really **** with marks head by expressing the correct weight in ounces, or dependant on geographical location the weight can vary – was the shoe measured at sea level?, how far from the equator was the shoe measured?. We all know Hebdon bridge is a “special” place – does it have its own specific gravitational field?.

@ossify putting my pedantic hat on, it must be the first as he doesn’t specify the units!

I googled Friday’s answer to make sure I was spelling it right. But good to know.

Weird. I didn’t know there was one. But the internet told me there was a vote at Council in 2021 on the matter.
