Bought and fitted April 2017, wouldn’t hold charge so returned and repaired or exchanged in October 2017.

Since then it’s functioned well but not overly used to be honest so maybe had 5 or 6 charges, after the last one it appears totally dead. You normally can clearly the electrics kicking in when you switch the post on the first time, this times there’s nothing at all.

Contacted and waiting for a reply from the retailer, triton, for a few days. However just asking.

Anybody else had this issue is there a trick I may be missing to the charging, red light is blinking on and off when charging, any fixes?

Should I expect a repair from magura at the three year mark?

If the retailer does not reply does anyBody know who the uk distributor is so I can try them?

Give up on all of the above and buy a brand x.

I’ve had my Vyron off for a few issues,

    1. a seal went inside after 2 years, they have a 1 year service interval and i had never had it serviced, i sent it in for a repair and they repalced it free of charge.

    2. I kicked the battery / head unit off in a crash, they replaced it free of charge

    3. it stopped working, they said there was possible water ingress, they repalced it free of charge

each time i got directly in touch with Magura UK.

    service.uk@magura.com

I’ve found the Vyron pretty reliable, there is a slight delay in operation of maybe half a second, after a few runs on day one then a few random times i have not found it to be an issue overall.

You turn it off between rides? Never bothered with that.

I’ve got one and had a problem where the seat post and remote stopped pairing no matter what I did. It took a couple weeks and a little chasing but came back and works faultlessly again.

In answer to what they are like, I really like it. Yes there is a tiny lag between pressing the button and the actuators opening to let the post move. Yes they stay open for a set amount of time so if you push the button, slam the seat down and get up instantly it will come back up a tiny bit before the actuator closes.

These are things that all the reviews state. However within a couple of pushes of the switch to use the post I got used to it. It’s all second nature and I don’t think about it at all any more.

Its a really nice post to use, doesn’t need loads of charging and baring that one warranty issue has worked really well. I’ve had mine just over a year

thanks lads, I’ll give magura Uk a try.

Like others have said when working they are good and the slight delay is a none issue. No surprise really but the problems seem to stem from the electric aspect and charging rather than the mechanics of the things.

    Kirky,

I have had one on my Scott Spark for a couple of months and really love it. It paired easily and fitting was obviously really easy. I wouldn’t be without it now. One of the things that sold it to me was the after service from Majura which seems to be really excellent.

Emailed MBP direct and they replied back same day to day just send it to them and they will sort it out.

Hopefully no need to splurge for a replacement just yet.
