Anyone tried these pedals? What do you think?

That’s a classic case of a solution looking for a problem.

I just run decent flat pedals and shoes and have zero issues keeping my feet in the right place.

    tried them…

    on clipless now…

biggest issue was not being certain i was attached enough, ie if your foot is off a bit.. you haven’t got 100% connection, the moment you find out is the moment your foot disconnects

the other problem is the magnets float up and down on rubbers.. which resulted in a clicking sensation if you don’t  spin smoothly

honestly, it’s so easy to get used to spd’s, even if you start with multi release (people will tell you they are lethal, i found the opposite). in fact i adjusted to SPD’s quicker than Magpeds which i was continuously getting frustrated with

interesting – I vaguely remembered them from a few years ago but hadn’t heard any more.  https://ebike-mtb.com/en/magped-enduro2-test/

I like the sound of being able to ride either in clip shoes or flats on the same pedals.

They come up on various forums (including this one) every 6 months or so.

They’ve also been kicking around as a concept for at least a couple of decades.
Wonder why no one uses them…

Foot positioning stops your feet coming off tje pedals during flexion. Magnets………

For me they have no attraction 🙂 but I did see a guy with both lower legs amputated using them and I could see the benefit in that situation
