@superstu glad to hear they’ve improved they (Transition) we’re absolutely shocking with me some years ago when paint fell off my frame after one wash. Was getting no joy via email so rang them directly and to quote them they said.
“The paint falling off didn’t affect the functionality of the frame”. My reply to them on the phone was would he be impressed with the paint falling off his car or would that not affect the functionality of the car. The phone was hung up. Shocking behaviour. Anyhow after some discussion here with a fellow stw’er who knew the legal rights it got sorted via a there UK distributor at the time.

    Wow that’s shocking.

I can only say it how I see it, and they were great with me when I didn’t hold out much hope/expectation so was very impressed. I’d not have been happy in your situation!

Didn’t affect my love of the bike but tbh haven’t bought another one since but in reality all brands can have a bit of bad quality control at some time but left a bad taste the way they spoke to me

I felt like once a year was good going frankly.

Blimey, I’m just changing bearings on my Spesh Enduro after 3 years, and only because one of the link bearings is getting a bit loosey goosey. Bearing changes every year is mad!

Edit, I’d also say that support from the big manufacturers; Giant, Spesh, Trek has always (for me at least) been spot on. Now that SC are part of Pon who seem keen to build up a network of dealers to sell their bikes through, I wonder if they’ll start to shake up the market a bit.
