Bought one a few weeks ago and used for the first time today. Apart from the fact the adjustable arm was set off centre as it came (easily rectified) I am very impressed. It’s not as bang on accurate (or as heavy) as the Park pro workshop one, but it is well under half the price and for a home mechanic it is perfect. I’ll be using it to check the wheels on my Scandal before I sell it. I can’t recommend it highly enough as part of a garage tool kit. Thanks Lifeline 😊

Like some the CRC reviews, mine arrived with the uprights not perpendicular to the alignment arm. Means I’d have to realign for every wheelsize.

Did you adjust the alignment arm to centre it? That’s what I had to do. Once that was done it was fine

I can center it to the axle clamps at closed position. If I then extrapolate that out to a 24″ wheel I then have to center it again.. same for 26, 27.5 and 29. Same size wheel with a 100qr vs a boost rear would also result in a different angle as the misalignment is more pronounced at the closed position.
So, for each wheelsize I’m working on I’d have needed a known properly dished wheel.. or build a jig to align the stand to each wheelsize and hub size.

I guess a quick check would be to set (center) the calipers to a wheel then flip the wheel around. See if its still aligned to the calipers.

Heres a visual of the issue I believe I have in my case (not scaled).
green = caliper alignment axis and perpendicular line when centered at closed clamps.
black = off axis hub and perpendicular dish reference result at wider hub.
red = off axis hub and perpendicular dish reference result at narrower hub.
Biggest “error” would therefore be a 29er front wheel

I have one of those, not sure whether it was from CRC or Planet-X but it was more like £70 back when I bought it. Nice and solid but I don’t bother trying to set it for dish I use a separate tool for that.
