The Saturn V is a must-buy for me, although I’ll not build it as its too big for anywhere I could put it in the house. Its more a souvenir.

You mean an investment. Wait till it’s going for two grand and then hawk it on ebay.

I built one of these over Easter with my 7 year old. Great fun, paid around £150 for it and now John Lewis have it for £110. Takes some time to build but recommended.

Did the MB truck Christmas 2015 with my son. Took it in turns to do a bag of bits. It now sits in the spare bedroom. I’m just working out where the Saturn 5 will go.

Ha! That would save the ‘its not staying there’ problem.

If your Lego itch needs scratching have a look at the Technic RC Tracked Racer. Good set and gives you a handy set of tracks for other projects.

As it happens I’m picking up one of those tomorrow (John Lewis C&C) . Fancy it as a crawler-type modding project with monkey jnr.

Also interested in ordering a Brixo kit[/url] to add further customisation (and control via app) to this and other kits.

I reckon I could make that Saturn V rocket with about 10 bits.
not very exciting which is probably why they’ve made it big.

Sure. I could make it with a bag of Polos and a knitting needle.

Same here (today), thanks wholly to this thread.

And the resistance x-wing should be arriving a couple of weeks…

Can we stop recommending offers please, it’s costing me a fortune…

recently built the BMW GS 1200, a treat whilst on leave. First Lego model in many years and was amazed at the quality. I got it for £45 and it really did feel like a massive indulgence, but actually the whole process of building and the finished model felt well worth it, fills me with childlike joy 😆

I’d love to know how they design these things, the way the BMW went together was incredible.
Think it may tip me over the edge for the Porsche, which is down to around £170ish in places now.

Luckily I already have the Porsche 😀 and can confirm it is a very nice build, the double clutch gearbox is a brilliant ‘What? Aww cool!’ thing.

    Anyone got their Saturn yet?

John Lewis have been flogging them a bit early….. A colleague has one built already – well jealous.

Oh, it’s out? JL are showing out of stock.

I got a £150 voucher for ten years’ service at work a couple of weeks back… must see if any of the listed stores carry it.

Yeah JL have sold out. My colleagues box had a sticker on it saying not to be sold until the 1st….

Erm! I may have just bought myself the Saturn V. I just happened to walk past the Leicester Square Lego shop after a post last exam drink.

Happened to be in London yesterday for a meeting, luckily plenty in store to pick up.

I wondered if I might save it until Christmas so I can build it with my Dad and Brother, but the temptation may be too strong.

Should you build one then worrying about the size of it would be the least of your problems.
