According to autotrader it has a massive boot which seems weird as it looks small. Anyone use one and got anything to say? Pretty cheap so I’m tempted

depends on the year. i have an 04 and can get a small giant fram in the boot with the wheels and seat off.

if im right then the year after the boot got a bit smaller but i cant conferm that

was going for the 2002. That doesn’t sound huge if you have to take both wheels and seat off…

forgot to say that is with the seats up.

i would not class it as massive though. some people class it as an estate but i would say just a large hatch back

Can’t imagine they’re much good as an actual car. There have been plenty of threads on here that will suggest a better alternative.

Can I ask why ? Personal experience or just ‘cos of the “Kia” badge ?

Apologies for the flippant remark, but an older model Rio, while cheap and spacious won’t drive as well as say a Focus. If you’re not interested in that sort of thing and just want to throw a bike in the back then it will be adequate. Please don’t get a black one though, unless you like the pish being taken out of you for driving a mini hearse (it didn’t bother my friend though). It’s not a badge thing though, I’d happily have a newer one now they’ve got there act together, a bit like Skodas in that respect.

Test drove aa new one with the biggest deisel engine last year. Was just a bit uninspiring allround. Nothing I could put my finger on but it was just a bit ‘meh’. Fair bit of engine noise atg motorway speed, gearchange a bit clunky. Rear visibility not great either. Got a large hardtail in the back with front wheel off and seats folded.
Got a pre reg 1.8tdci Focus instead in the end for the same price, much nicer car.

Hmmm, seems like it could work then…really not bothered about the feel of the drive or how it looks. Just how cheap to run and ease of carrying bikes around. If I could get a berlingo with under 100k on the clock for less than a grand I’d go for that. Anyone.
