You just listen too much 🙂 You just need to learn to sort the wheat from the chaff, and people telling you they're better than you (without offering to help) are chaff.
I think that being followed everywhere by a hyper-critical imaginary Frenchman you met on the internet is actually odder than dreaming about an imaginary man you met on the internet wearing a tan suede jacket. 🙂
Dezb now I am feeling guilty
Tim yes it's me, however how do you know I was slow I never met you on the bike only at socials 😉
But those were the great times of the SUMBC 😀
Well I never said I was fast njee, far from it I have always define myself as a average. However if IIRC the 2006 Busas were in shropsire, the only memories I have from this is the band and the pub :D.
Well how to say that I have to admit two thing :
I was with the bike on the pic, plus weirdly enough I am crap at DH (I could pm you a funny tail about 2005 busas if you want)
And second, coming from nice there is one thing I am very bad at, it's riding in the mud :$. Unless you're being sarcastic…
No I wasn't being sarcastic. I remember reading about those Shropshire BUSAs, I was at Uni then, but the MTB club consisted of me and 3 guys who pretended to be downhillers, so we didn't go, remember thinking it looked pretty grim!
Well to be fair the DH course didn't get any approval. To flat and too muddy for the DH boy with 8" rigs. XC course was like a XC course after a ST patrick in an irish pub (way less hours of sleep than fingers in the hand) climb too long and dh bits packed with jey-hey boy walking down :-|.
The only good memries where the pub, and the smile of the pretty girl who allowed me to get warm ion her van 😀 (no innuendo…)
Hmmm, sounds like most BUSA events then, you don't tend to go because it'll be a good race!
njee, you ever get yourself over to Swinley?
Occasionally, I prefer the Surrey Hills, they don't require a 45 minute drive! I do enough racing over that way to know most of it, I can piece together a half reasonable ride usually!
