Much as I like my bikes they are just tools to be ridden till they are dead, and then replaced with shiney new ones and repeat.

It took me a while to finally get rid of my first ever "proper" mtb frame, my old DMR Trailstar which had cracked at the headtube. I wish I kept it though, since I'm now looking for a cheap frame/bike as a commuter and it would've been fine for that with the rigid forks I have!

So yes I do get a bit "connected" to my bikes. Luckily I replaced it with another Trailstar so its not like I'm cheating on it with something superior 😆

Luckily I sold my bmx before it got to this stage, so it was easy to get rid of!

It's there when I need it, forgives me when I let it down and is great to spend time with. Not sure if it's most like my friend, my mum, or my better half. Although I do did ride it a lot……

Tools. But tools I'm fond of. ESP the trancex as we've travelled a bit.
