As above, on my On One Whippet. It’s 148 rear hub spacing but how do I find out if the bb is DUB boost or DUB non boost?

I thought Sram DUB cranks only varied at the chainring for boost and non boost but there is quite a big price difference between boost and non boost sram cranks.

I *think* that it is just the chainring difference…

If it works out cheaper overall, buy the cheaper one plus a new ring?

I’m sure you will have a few other opinions in a minute mind.

The boost spacing is in the chainring, it worked out cheaper for me to buy a non boost chainset plus a boost chainring than a boost chainset

As above, it is the chainset ring spacing that determines boost or otherwise.

You might be seeing DUB vs GXP bottom brackets as they are different diameters.

It’s definitely both DUB. One titled DUD with a 49mm chain line, and the other as DUB boost.

Something isn’t right as the bottom brackets are the same.
Boost spacing make no difference what so ever to them.

Can you post links to the two btm brackets for us to look at and comment?

It’s the cranks that have a big price difference. That’s why I wondered if there were different types of DUB bb’s.

There are different types of DUB BBs, for different BB shells. Which two are you looking at? Both BSA 73mm?

The cranks will have different (direct mount) chainrings fitted as standard, hence the price difference. I bought some non-boost and swapped the ring, as others suggest.

Ah, if it is cranks you are looking at, yes the difference will likely just be in the ring offset.

I bought an X01 DUB kit a few years ago at it was non-boost. A change of chainring made it into a Boost fitment.

Bottom brackets are available in different widths (as are cranks), but that is not connected with Boost or not Boost – merely for different frames – eg regular 68/73mm wide or something different like a fat bike that has a wider bottom bracket.
