so me and my dad were looking around for bike alarm systems, we are really struggling to find anything, and have almost decided to start building one, have worked out a little design over napkins at dinner; It would just be quicker to buy one… but

    Can anyone suggest anything?

If its too expensive though, we would prob make our own. anyone have any advice on building one?
We envisioned It being seat tube , waterproof, easy, vibration or condenser activated. Using a remote & Unique ID, rather than a key. What did people use?

but dad said…after hes finished building the shed and satellite stuff… so..

What options are there to buy one? where?

I’d say make one, sounds like fun. I’d guess your issue is making it

    Small
    Loud
Not gonna go off everytime locks their bike to you
    Not easy to disable

    More power to your elbow.

    Are you making a remote?

really make it? pretty busy, haha…but dad we planned it out because I don’t like thieves and thought it would be better than paying top price for something.

Size; Depending on the system, if it was a consenting circuit it could be linked to many materials of frame. That would be very fun.

The noise, well..imagine a rape alarm, we thought that would be a good test. but inside a seat tube is the real test. Would be good not to have to have to modify my seattube.

Not easy to disable;…it will be inside the frame…so it will be easy for me, but not them. I will have a remote and just jave to press a button – like a car.

the remotes can be purchased and build. You can buy several programmable and basic remote circuits to prototype with.
