Yea I get how the moths and other dinghies work to keep the ride height.
But there’s no wand on an AC as arent they prohibited? They were the last few iterations so the cats were trimmed manually?
But the moth is a lightweight dinghy, so the helm is using their weight to balance the heel of the boat (and to an extent the trim with the help of the rudder and gearing in the wand).
From what Ive seen the foils on the AC75 looked solid in the pics as they were on the cats, so Im guessing the whole arm must be rotated to adjust the AOA as the boat accelerates and to controll ride height, and in/out to adjust the heel, not just flipped during tacks/gybes? Just hypothesising and wondering if anyone had any more solid ideas on the controll systems.
