    Give us a wave 🙂

Spherical middle aged individual on a Rock Lobster 853, probably accompanied by Ms Spanner.

Never been before, but sounds like the ideal place for a faff free spin.
Knackered after a long loop around Buxton yesterday, so going to pop up and see what it’s like.

Sounds like the place is very well loved, should be interesting to have a look at the new stuff in the pipeline.

Is the d/h bit rideable by mortals?

The DH tracks are ‘rideable by mere mortals’ (probably an intermediate level) but a hard tail XC bike may not be all that suitable. The drop ins at the top should give you an idea if you can do it or not !

Any road, I suspect that the logging & tree felling may have arrived at them now so possibly not rideable at all for a while. I’d be interested to know if that is the case as I’ve been there a few times.

As for the XC routes, i’ve not ridden them, so can’t comment.

Dh track may well be shut due to the loggers being in. Again would suggest NOT riding the new sections which are still under construction.

2hottie, wouldn’t dream of it mate.

It was the trailbuilding post that made me want to go – if people are prepared to put that much effort into the place it must be worth visiting.

Rusty forgot to say that walking the tracks is cool so have a look that way. Or like me you can run down them pretending to ride..

Jesus H Corbett, that was a bit wet! Started in a shower, finished in a proper downpour 😀

Good place though, we both thought it had massive potential.
Not that many people there, but everyone we spoke to had really enjoyed it.
Downhill was closed, but the drop in didn’t seem too bad, just a couple of small drop offs into a tight bermed section? Might have been looking in the wrong place though.

The second half of the red loop has some cracking singletrack, really nice and flowing in places – some good water splashes and a couple of really fast descents.

Loads of new bits of singletrack diving off all over the place, will definitely be back for a return visit come summer!
