How does STW stand on Ana/digi watches? (new watch content)

I know a lot of you use ana/digi activity watches like Casio and Timex etc. but what about the higher end models from Omega, Breitling and my new acquisition from Certina?

Personally, I enjoy the mix but I’m sure there are some purists who would disagree.

I like both types, but not in the same watch.

I am, in fact, wearing an analogue watch on my left wrist and a digital watch* on my right as we speak.

*Ok it’s a FitBit but it tells the time and looks like a watch.

I am a ana/digi wearer. This is because I want an alarm on my watch – but like the look of an analogue face.
My current cheapo Casio is ace – apart from needing a louder alarm and be as simple as my old Timex.
Please Timex can I have a four button, easy to use as an Ironman, Analogue watch with alarm function and simple styling with uber luminescent markings for under £50 please?

I like an analogue face. I used to love digital watches for timers/ alarms etc but my phone does all that now.

So as an everyday watch they’re OK. But IMO ‘nice’ watches should be automatic. Quartz watches are a bit old hat, they’re neither particularly novel / groundbreaking (you can get them for a few quid), and they’re not traditional either. So it’s a no from me. That watch is kinda cool in a retro-futuristic way though. Sort of like a Roger Moore Bond might have worn if Certina had offered a wedge of cash to the Broccolis in the 70s.

That picture is not mine, I have never seen it before, and it does not depict an arm or watch belonging to me. It is someone else’s picture of their arm and their watch.

Can you get a digital watch with a tiny analogue face on it?

Nice watches can also require winding up with the little knob that sticks out on the side. The one I’m wearing most at the moment does, about every 24 hours, in fact.
Of course, this activity may prove to be a bit too much for some, causing breathlessness and anxiety due to the unaccustomed physical exertion, but one soon gets used to it.

I wouldn’t be able to read a digital watch without glasses.
So analog for me.
