An impulse purchase at the train station, couldn’t put it down, well recommended to anyone after a good solid detective story – will have to get another Holmes book sometime.

Available as complete collections, and free ebooks as well. Read the whole lot, hugely enjoyable.

I got the entire Sherlock Holmes collection on Kindle last year for a couple of quid.

Never been much of a reader until I started a daily train commute at the beginning of last year and the collection is far and away the best thing I’ve read since.

The entire works of Conan Doyle are available for free from project guttenberg. The three main collections are as originally:

    http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/1661 Adventures
    http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/108n Return
    http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/834 Memoirs

I was a sherlock junky for years but read all the stories originally in a Strand facsimile collection. That’s a big book to lug around 🙂 Life is so much easier now.

Holmes is excellent, well worth reading. Just make sure you read them in order, otherwise his fight with Moriaty is going to happen at the wrong point.

The Father Brown stories are quite entertaining, too.
