Just tried fitting some rotor bolts to a hope hub and they wouldn’t tighte down. One of the bloody things sheered as well.

Took them all out (mius the sheered ones) and tried a different set that again didn’t tighten down.

Do hope hubs use a shorter rotor bolt?

I recall an old hope xc had the end of the bolt holes blanked off, at least until i used slightly longer (shimano iirc) bolts, too much threadlock and a power drill and blew them out. Doh!

    That is what I have.

Any idea what size bolt I needthen?Or should I just put a couple of shims under the current ones?

If the holes are blind – I’d just shorten the screws to suit

Some Hope hubs are drilled all the way thru’ but the threads are not tapped all the way thru’ the boss. I have seen the bosses split where the owner has forced a too longer bolt into the boss. Best cut the bolts or get a tap & cut the thread full depth.
