Can anybody point me in the direction of a free online planning tool that will help with this? I am sure Google used to offer one but cant find it and others only offer a free trial.... Only after basics..
Thanks

AFAIK Sketchup is still free but if you're just after something basic then I'd suggest starting with pencil, ruler and paper. What are you wanting from an app?

FTFY 🙂
Pencil and ruler good but nice not to have to start again each time 🙂

Use tracing paper.
Start with a pic on normal paper of the area you want the patio to go in.
Overlay it with a bit of tracing paper and draw on that how you think that area should look. dont like this bit, use another part of the tracing paper.
So you are starting off with one pic, and you can use the tracing pics to see how it would look in different scenarios.
Tracing paper (greaseproof might do) over an outline FTW
Get an aerosol can of grass marking paint in a colour of your choice then physically draw the outline of patio you want over the area you want to have it.
