Steel Pulse 🤠👍👍
Liking this thread a lot!
Huw wotsisname played Handsworth revolution on 6 music this morning 👌👍
Congo Natty. I didn’t know this, but Congo Natty is none other than Rebel MC, from back in the olden days… 🙂 Explains the junglist thread through his music.
Love Congo Natty’s stuff, he did a good dub version of Jungle Revolution
Yeah I have that 👍
Not really roots but too good to leave out
Gotta have some sly and robbie – laid down the beats on many a classic
Jacob Miller Tenement Yard
Natural Ites – Picture On The Wall
Pat Kelly – It’s a Good Day
I Roy – Welding
Some awesome stuff being posted folks 👌
Indeed. It was their album, Dub Experience, accompanied by a thick blanket of smoke that I think got me heavily into reggae when I was a yoot.
Until recently, I lived with a Jamaican guy called Barrington Levi. It wasn’t that one though. 😄
A couple from the mainstream. I’ve got Signing Off by UB40 and there are some great tracks on that. Raw and heavy, not like when they made the charts.
Also, musical youth. Some really good stuff on their album.
This thread has got me following a few good reggae wormholes.
Dub FX is very good at pressing buttons 👍
Subbed.
Bought this vinyl leaving a concert, heavy, heavy night.
Loving the roots and culture selection!!
Congo Natty is ace . ta.
Posted this one on the bass thread, needs to be on here as well – Sly and Robbie connection.
