I’m no expert on spreadsheets, but in Excel I can format a cell B1 to be blue if cell A1 “is not empty”. I can’t seem to do this using conditional formatting in google docs, I cant import the spreadsheet as it wipes some of the formatting and I am stuck. Help me?

No help whatsoever but excel does seem to be more feature rich for this kinda thing.

Do you have a Hotmail /outlook webmail account?
You can open spreadsheets in that like a kind of excel ‘lite’?

Any particular reason that the answer isn’t “use Excel, then”?
