The Goodyear Newton tyres are as hefty as they are grippy, and as such they represent a solid choice – perhaps in more ways than one.

I have definitely stretched beads on hard to mount tires causing a wobble.

I’ve got a pair of these in the trail casing which presented no problems fitting onto my DT Swiss alloy rims. Great tyres, roll surprisingly easy for something so knobbly.

Got a very wobbly Goodyear gravel bike tyre – maybe a bit of a ‘thing’ for Goodyear.

My Continental Kryptotal is wobbly so it’s not just Goodyear or Maxxis that suffer. Had the previous Newton and enjoyed it, might try a new rear

Nice write up. I like reviews that are not wall-to-walk enthusing, this one is realistic and relatable.

(linky here!) seems to be missing the URL, at least it’s not working off this iPhone
