Pandoro bracelet is all my other half is going on about, basically a modern charm bracelet, makes buying for all other occasions dead easy until they come up with something else!!

Rob, do you know anything at all about the person you are trying to buy a present for?

It would help us all out if you told us at least something about her age, interests or hobbies. If you know nothing about her (if you are doing something secret santa for example), something scented for the bath is traditional or a gift voucher for John Lewis, Boots etc.

In my considerable experience, anything which cost you more money than you could possibly have imagined spending on something almost entirely useless is in the right ballpark. Try spending a three figure sum on a special wallet to hold her bus-pass, say, or the better part of a month's wages on a scarf. That kind of thing. Girls love that stuff. 🙂

Midnighthour: it's a young lady i'm very close to and attempting to get closer to 😉

She's 26, likes fashion, films, indie/rock music amongst others. Not an MTB fan unfortunately….not yet anyway 😀

Tickets to a music event as a surprise.

Take her to someplace she can dress up – meal, theatre

Day trip or weekend to some city (maybe include voucher for her favorite fashion or music shop?).

Take a look though the web sites for those 'special event / red letter days' for ideas.

Listen to what she mentions a lot and buy something related to it or something she has pointed out as 'nice'. Lots of people inadvertently give 'gift clues' all year round. Try to remember them as they are useful bits of info to have!

Take her on a road based bike ride as many people find that less intimidating than off road – maybe bike to a birthday treat or event.

Jewellery is always good and has a big price range.

All I can think of right now.

If you are any good at hobbies, you could make her something, even if its just a christmas card. Evidence of significan personal effort in obtaining or making a gift always looks good.

Coming from a girlie point of view I think jewllery is often a winner. Have a look at what she wears .. ie silver or jold and go for a nice bracelet or some earrings!
Underwear … but maybe you aren't that close to her YET!!!!!
I think an evening out is good … theatre tickets for the two of your something like that.
New handbag…. harder to buy I guess and depends on budget.

Unfortunately I'm always up for ANYTHING MTB related! Body armour one year, bike this year for the big b'day!!!

A scarf to compliment the gloves…there are loads in the shops at the moment!
A simple but beautiful pair of earrings.
A body lotion that goes with her favourite perfume.
    Cashmere socks.
    Something from here…

A Chanel nail varnish…just choose a colour you like…they are so beautifully packaged, she won't care what colour it is!

Me, expensive tastes?…no idea what you are talking about!! 8)

Being a girl I think Foxie Chick has some great ideas! I've even got my eyes on the nice leather make up case ….. I see a flaw there though! I don't wear make up! Oh well back to the body armour.

FoxyChick is, as I suspected, a lady of impeccable taste.

If you feel brave, why not try Agent Provacateur or Myla. Be warned, however, buying skimpies isn't the easiest thing to get right.

thejesmonddingo, AP have a rather clever thing that allows you to log the right sixe for your lady or ladies of choice on their system, meaning that once you've got it right once, you get it right again!

Smoooooooth. Oh, and the private boudoir changing room downstairs in the one just off Sloane Street is a fine spot! 🙂

    Teagirl, a pic of puppies perhaps….. 🙂
