1000 rattles in my non garmin mounts, the extended mount from my 800 works but doesn’t fit as the 1000 is too big. I’ve got the extended version on the road bike, it’s great but at £30 a little steep.

Any other options? Or anyone seen the extended mount on sale?

how do the mounts rattle ? surely there’s a way of gumming up whatever bit is moving ?

I think the tabs on the 1000 are slightly shallower than my 800 which seems fine. I’ve thought about a blob of blue tak, but worried that it might result in eventual snapping of the tabs. Been googling, haven’t seen reference to anyone else having this issue.

Haven’t got one so no idea – what would break, the mount or the device ?

The tabs are on the mount on the back of the device, not replaceable as far as I can tell.

They aren’t replaceable buy i have seen a company that sells a kit that you glue to the back with a new adapter.
The kedge xl one seem to work fine and I’ve not noticed a ratle. But they are even more expensive than the garmin one.

No issues with my SRAM quickview, good mount.

dogearsgps[/url]. Fixed my 810 after my accident snapper off a lug. The fit is so superior it should come as standard. Expect Garmin are already doing due diligence!

    Arrived in a few days.

“If you can break our aluminum tabs, let us know and we’ll replace it. In our own destructive testing, it took 8 times more force than the original mount to break (the outside of the case collapsed). There better be a good story in that email you send us too…”
