Formula The Ones. Over kill on a hardtail?

Hey, I made that point on the blog post on the front page about how new tech makes riding easier…

When I had a Rohloff, I had a disc at the front and V-brake rear and that was plenty for me. As people have pointed out, it’s still possible to lock up the rear with V’s, and I found Kool Stop split compound pads lasted pretty well.
The cabling was a faff though – getting clogged to buggery with Welsh mud. But then I’m a fit and forget type person…
