Genuinely funny people being naturally funny – a dying art in this country in recent years.

I reckon you’d pi55 yourself if any of those characters stumbled into your local. Not so if the likes of Miranda trundled in (she really should f€$k off and take her bullsh1t slapstick non-comedy with her).

Weird I cant seem to find the character who agreed with everyone in the pub and then when cross examined would fold.

Ha ha, I was watching Big Train’s staring competition just yesterday.

That Ted and Ralph drinking game sketch is a corker. It was watching that sketch last night which made me start the thread.

I went and saw the fast show live, a little dubious as to whether the show would work in a live setting, but it was even better. Loads of profanity, one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.

Better even than Billy Connolly, and I was at the ‘ken bigley’ gig at the hammersmith apollo…

birky; thanks. Love that sketch. Stands out for me as a moment that defines Whitehouse’s brilliance.

Whitehouse has an amazing ability to observe people, and develop fabulous characters all with their own unique foibles. Utterly believable, almost ‘real’ people. Characters with their own unique catchphrases like Ron Manager; ‘jumpers for goalposts’, a phrase now deeply entrenched in our culture.

He’s even managed to make insurance adverts funny. Far, far better than that stupid annoying toy dog.

Rowley Birkin, if only because it all builds to the incredible pathos of the last sketch.

    Republica Presente, for accurate representation.

Indecisive Dave and Colin Hunt for being so true to life. And then Colin Hunt again for stopping you quoting it too much…

Great acting and I think shows how much Whitehouse enjoyed that character.
