    Morning all!

    Wondering if you can help…

Can anyone recommend a wheel builder, ideally in the Fareham / Portsmouth / Southampton area? Looking to have my Pro 4’s built onto some DT 471s and wanted to use someone with a good reputation.

    Cheers!

GA Cycles in Southampton have a v good reputation for their builds. Not sure what their lead times are like right now – they’ve been pretty busy throughout pandemic – but well worth a call.

I can do this for you for free (although I do like beer). I’m in Denmead.
    PM me.

Stretches you a bit further, but The Forge in Ringwood have built some good wheels for me.

As above GA have always built good wheels.

    Botley MTB?

Just a quick one to say thanks for the prompt responses.

GA Cycles sound interesting – not heard of them before, always handy to know about good bike shops. I’ll look at the others too.

Superfli – small world, I work in Denmead so will drop you a PM in the next couple of days 😀

    Thanks again!

I had GC cycles in Portsmouth recently rebuild a DT X511 rim into a 240s rear hub (normally build my own wheels but draw the line at straight pull round spokes!)

Wheel was nice and true, still holding up fine 2 months later, i checked the tension after they built it and it was near on DT’s recomendations

    Cost £40 iirc
