Seriously thinking about getting some (far, i.e. wavelengths of >3000nm) infrared heating panels to augment my expensive oil fired central heating.
The theory seems very sound - i.e. objects including human/animal bodies readily absorb these wavelengths so the heating panels warm you and other objects in the room rather than the air.
Anyone had any practical experience of using these? Are they as effective and efficient as the suppliers would have you believe?
