I’ve been admiring the Holt for a while, and possibly in a position to order one (unless someone here has one for sale!!).
Be really interested to get any advice on sizing.
– I’m 5’11” male, very standard proportions
– Lean (wife says skinny!), but take medium tops/jackets
– 67kg, 56 years old
– I’m a spinner rather than big gears grinder … certainly not esp fast! Not wanting head down racing style
– Like a light bike, always been a hardtail rider, would build the bike up pretty lightweight, and prob a 100mm SID fork (as that is what I have)
– Ride Kent singletrack, 1-2hr quick (for me) flowing routes, nothing gnarly or jumps (I’ve an artificial shoulder)
– Prefer bikes in the past where I feel I’m sitting ‘in’ the bike rather than ‘on top’ (if that makes any sense!)
And if you’re able to post pics of your bike with your height, that’d be great.
I emailed Fairlight and this was their prompt reply – For sizing we would recommend the Medium if you have a good level of flexibility and don’t need a particularly high front end, or the Large if you want the bars to be higher.
And also, be interested to hear good/bad experiences.
Cheers
