I still have the Covid app active on my phone, no-one I’ve seen recently had tested positive,

Well, that’s not something to put too much faith in. The only time anyone in my family has been pinged from the app was when my wife tested positive and put the code in. We know others who have tested positive and who never put the code in because (a) they couldn’t be bothered or (b) didn’t want to inconvenience people who probably wouldn’t be infected! that’s despite two teenagers having the app on their phones (not sure if their friends do) who have been going to school and socialising fairly normally. What this thread shows is that even when people do test positive not everyone is reacting to it – (and on day 10 in isolation with no symptoms I can understand why!!!), and people are making up their own rules.

Ultimate caution would suggest I stay at home, but then ultimate caution would have us still in lockdown.

Ultimately if enough people behave like this we all end up back in lockdown.

I got a faint red line after the 15 minutes.

    Let’s not feed the troll.

If you have a definite line after 15mins then you are positive. LFTs aren’t great at ruling out infection but they are 99.9% at ruling it in, if you get a positive within 30mins, so you should have stayed at home.

The testing company is either incompetent or corrupt, or both.

I started this thread as I was asking about the relevance of an extremely faint line AFTER 30mins and have now taken 2x PCRs which were both negative to rule out infection.

maybe I’ve already scraped all the covid particles out of my nose on the previous tests🤣

We had the same a few weeks back. Son showed feint line on the first lft but he hadnt blown his nose so it was all snotty bogey. 2nd test was clean. But that night (12 hours later) the 2nd test had developed a feint line!

PCRs all came back negative, and a doc friend said basically what you said, that there is stuff in your snot that can give a reading, hence why you blow it first!

Mine was a feint line after being left over night. Positive PCR the day after the LFT.
