  • Endura Equipe – New range of clothing from Endura to hit the Road Market……..

It's looking really nice actually, very impressed. Clicky Anyone got any yet? Endura have already got a fantastic reputation on the MTB scene, it will be interesting to see how far the road stuff goes and more importantly whether they'll be taken seriously by the roadie lot for being such a big brand on the MTB scene for so long. They've certainly not held back on sponsorship/marketing with the Endura Racing Team investment, i wonder if they'll ever be on par or overtake the likes of; (in popularity order) Mavic/Castelli/Assos…….

Err – they've been doing "roadie" stuff for years

Not like "this" mate, this comes with road specific POS/Stand and everything to be located specifically in the road section of a store instead of being bungled onto the MTB stand!! They're upping their game and taking on the big boys with this new Equipe range and if i'm honest i think they have a fookin great chance of succeeding!

If the is quality as good as previous Endura items i've bought then i wouldn't wear it even if it were free.

On a par with Assos? 😆

    What's your experiences fin??

Overshoes (road) – zip broke and velcro tab pulled off after less than one season.

Lobster claw gloves – stitching fell apart after less than one season and the liners were never secure in the first place, plus they weren't even remotely waterproof as promised.

I know a lot of people on here have had problems with Endura and spout off regularly. I've had quite a lot of their stuff, and most of it has been excellent. The one or two items I've had a problem with, they have held up their hands and put it right for me, and I'm quite happy to keep trying their stuff on the back of that overall experience.

romster – you really do have some strange ideas "Endura have already got a fantastic reputation on the MTB scene". well – they produce budget kit of inconsistent quality, so I guess that's a reputation. Oh – I have and wear some, but I'm under no illusion that it's top quality kit and it only exists because it's in a budget category which means it can be replaced frequently enough. Their warranty backup is excellent – but then it needs to be.

How come you know so much about it then?

Fin where did you buy the gear from? Endura's warranty replacement & repair service is one of the best out there……

Yes, the warranty was great – i got both items replaced (via Wiggle). But the gloves had the exact same problems (quel surprise!) and i never bothered taking the overshoes out the packet, i'll eBay them closer to winter i think.

£90 Crit Bib, £100 Endurance Bib, and a £75 Jersey aren't really falling into that "budget category" anymore mate, hence my excitement to see how the Equipe range does!

Becuase i was fortunate enough to get information on the "entire" range yesterday, putting my order in for a jersey and bibs tomorrow so the truth will be in the pudding I suppose! 😉

My riding mate has bought some of the new Equipe range, looks really nice but after only 6 rides the shorts already have gone at the seams in several places, he's 6'1 and 66kg so not exactly putting them under stress.

Our club kit is also made by Endura and the sizing is very random. I'm 6'2 and 83kg. I seem to need a medium jersey that fits where it touches (shoulder blades mainly) but large shorts as the medium where v.short and tight. the Large arm warmers were more like elbow warmers and don't get me started on the leg warmers! I was exited to find out we were using Endura this year as it looks really good, unfortunately I've been left a bit dissapointed and would probably look elsewhere next time.

    Sorry.

They won't be competition to the big Italian-esque brands.

This is almost 100% scientific fact.

I sell Endura kit i nthe shop I wokr in and I've found it to be generally decent quality with only the odd issue here and there. For the money it's decent kit, mountain bikers are massively reluctant to spend decent money on kit that will last years and years. Warranty backup is good even on items 2 years old. Sold a bot of the Equipe stuff now and it seems good value fo rmoney and well made, not had any problems with any of it yet.

you're getting excited about a pair of shorts?

OK – I'm slowly backing out of the room now

I like the designs of Endura stuff, but not been impressed by the stitching.

Singletrack shorts, for instance: triple stitching on the bum that failed. A local tailor re-sewed it with single stitching using tougher thread and now it's fine.

Probably would not buy Endura stuff again because of the weak stitching.

make that getting excited over 2 pairs of shorts, a jersey, a gilet, a jacket and overshoes 😉

Endura – my experiences over the last 10+ years. It used to be great – proper good, lasted for ever. Over the last 5 or so years, the design and concept is still great, but sizing is all over the place and you need to be a dab hand with a needle and thread – the stitching goes sooner rather than later.

Having been in the trade for a long time fella, and simply getting bored of Assos and such dominating a market for such a long time, it's good to see "the MTB guys" having a good go at taking them all on.

They've pitched their product at a good price range, they've kept it simple by releasing one very straight forward range and I think they have every chance of turning heads on the road scene, even more so because of how well the Endura Racing team is doing!

This thread is nothing more than an acknowledgement of a good product tbh! 😉

I've got the white equipe gilet. I'm not a big fan of endura stuff normally but this is certainly better quality than the usual endura gilet – as in you can actually pull the zip up with one hand and it doesn't jam. I vought it when I was in Pitlochry for the etape caledonia as I forgot to take mine.

Some nice features, packs up really small, pocket on the back with earpeice 'grommet' – for race radio I presume.

Sizing is spot on – definately a racing fit though. I wouldn't buy the shorts though as there are other brands I prefer, would buy the jersey as the lime colour would be great for commuting.

No one seems to be agreeing I'm afraid.

I would concur that Endura gear used to be OK, I still have a jacket that is 10 years + and it's still going strong, that may just be luck though.

The most disappointing brands I have used is Assos and Santini, tyhey just didn't live up to the hype.

Stitching is rubbish. I've had shorts that fell apart. They were replaced and they did exactly the same thing 3 months down the line. Sadly I can recount at least 5 other riders I know where this has happened within 6 months.

I do like the road gear though and I might try some of the bib shorts. I already have one of there road tops which I like a lot.

Overall view I get from this thread is pretty mixed tbh, the majority of the comments and opinions are based on "other" Endura products, not the Equipe range?

Is there a difference in quality (control) between MTB and road clothing from Endura then?
