Since having my emtb I’ve thought it would be very handy to have one of these type of things. However I can’t find anything similar

There are some triangular stands on eBay / Amazon that get rubbish reviews , ones of these would be great just needs to be able to take a 29er wheels.

And yes I have a work stand but they are big and bulky this would be much more convenient and allow quick and easy chain lubing etc

Posted this before. We have had one of these for quite a while. Works fine on the Levos.

If you arent aware an Allen key in the front spider allows the chain to be rotated backwards for lubing

This would be even easier and much smaller and lighter – https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-storage-solutions/halfords-universal-bike-stand-375378.html

Absolutely fine for lubing a chain, if you are adjusting gears and the like, just use the work stand as that surely folds away smaller than the thing you have posted in the original post.

Tracey – that think looks like it’s attracted mtb tax. The one I linked is £30. Just shows what a rip off Mtb stuff is

Dickbarton – so the rear wheel is held in the air allowing it to rotate freely using the walk function of the bike ? I just can’t see how it works

Absolutely fine for lubing a chain,

Not on an ebike unless using the allen key method already mentioned as the rear wheel needs to be off the ground. Personally I just use a workstand, takes 10 seconds to set up and the same to fold away afterwards. I have one of those wheel stands and it won’t keep my ebike upright by itself, although it is pretty heavy even by ebike standards

I’m always recommend  FJM Custom bike Mk2 stands (need an hole thru the cranks to work, so no bosch), though you won’t like the cost, as it just a couple of UK guys trying their best.. it’s stainless steel, folds up, lifts the rear wheel of the ground so is brilliant for cleaning the bike, lubing the chain & general bike faffing. Had mine since 2019, it shows signs of dying, so was well worth the cost.

Noticed they do a (new) “stay up” stand too now

Thanks zippy , the axle one won’t work as the pedals surely can’t keep turning

The stay up would be ideal apart from the orice £112 is a bit steep !

@Tracey that allen key idea is great. I’m new to eebs and this has been annoying me a fair bit. Cheers for the tip.

No problems. If you have an old one wrap a few turns of tape round the shaft to bulk it out a bit

not sure it would take the weight of an ebike though
