I’m doing a straight swap from a deore to an xt hub. For some reason I cant get the lock ring tight enough on the the newer xt hub so the casette still wobbles.

All is fine when I put it back onto the deore hub. It looks like the threaded part is too long for the xt hub so do they come in different sizes.

    Or any other help appreciated…

    Rubbish, no responses!

Found I had an old one in the “bit’s box” and yes for some reason the one I was trying to use was from a ss converter kit but the one form an sram casette worked fine.

Generally, I think 9 speed lockrings are the same, unless you have an 11t bottom cog, in which case the outer diameter is smaller (so the chain doesn’t hit it).
