Is the endoscopy actually a TOE? ie an echocardiogram done via an endoscope in the oesophagus rather than the usual through-the-chest-wall view? A pretty routine way of getting better views of some bits of the heart if so…

…and I know dozens of people who have had ablations with no problems.

Fist pie them if you have to!

Second the TOE it’s a way of looking at your heart with out lung and other bits in the way as you’d get when scanning from the out side.

I have to have an endoscopy next week and they’ve said it’ll be under sedation so you may even get to be spaced out too 🙂
