    £10 – £20 for most bikes. It seems a bit pot luck as to whether you bike has a cheap or expensive one.

    Have you seen the price of Rocky Mountain ones? Last I looked they were about £30.

    The bolt to attach it to the frame was extra!

    if they’re so simple to make why don’t people buy themselves a 3cmx2cm alloy sheet and cut/drill their own?

    most require some milling.

    some are milled, by far the greater number are forged.
