A school friend of my Dad, now 84, left the RC priesthood at 60 and married a woman aged 30 whom he had known since she was born. They have two sons, both in very good jobs.

Read your age off the blue line, the minimum age you can date without failing the creepy rule (1/2 age + 7) is value of the red line on the vertical axis.

So if you’re 70 you can date 41 ish, but if you’re 18 you can only get away with 16.

Well he did lead a rather adventurous life until settling down in his 50s buying a farm on Anglesey spending much time shooting and generally socializing with old money types. So she joined in on all of that and presumably feels she had a better life than she would have done marrying one of the Holyhead ruffians…. They used to own Penrhos and the land around Anglesey Aluminium which some of you will know.

Does she cycle? All that matters really.

Having smashed that half your age + 7 on two occasions, once in my thirties and again in my forties I can only offer this.I did learn from the mistakes I made first time round….unfortunately I then went on to make a whole bunch of new ones 🙁

Every girlfriend I’ve had has been younger than me, two were fourteen years younger, one nine years, never been a problem.
Probably because in my head I’m still around twenty or so…
