Darkside front mech help

STW massif:
I need a new front mech for my road bike. I have tiagra 9 speed groupset on a compact. What front mech options do I have? Or as I have tiagra 9 speed shifters do I need to simply stick with Tiagra?

Only really asking as tempted to the ‘trim’function that Ultegra has….

Any Shimano front road changer will work. I thought the trim came from the lever mechanism. All that happens with the mech is it responds how much cable is pulled.

I’ve got 105 pulling Ultegra fine. Double and triple.

Wingnuts, of course it’s all in the lever throw! So any shimano front mech ok?

Any road as mtb curve on the cage is too tight.
