    Possibly dumb question, but…

I’m building u a CX at the mo and the last job to do is cabling it. It’s got STIs and Avid cantis and it’s just occurred to me that there are no barrel adjusters at any point. How do I fine tune the brakes/adjust for pad wear without them?

Usually you’ll have a barrel adjuster on the cable hanger (front and rear). If you haven’t then you could fit some of those mid-cable adjusters (I’m sure they’ve got a proper name, just can’t think of it).

as above i just fitted inline adjusters , i think m-part make them, i put them in about 6 inch from the sti unit so easy to adjust on the move

I just nip mine up at the straddle cable/cantilever bolt every few rides. It’s not really something that needs doing very often. However, I might fit some inline adjusters when I change the cables next.

As long as stretch the cable when you fit them you don’t really need them – i just use an allen key on the avid shorty every now and again.
