Cranks/BB width

Have acquired some Saint Cranks for my Transition, but neglected to ask (or even think) about the axle/bb length. If they are dh standard (83mm??) is there anyway to use them with my 68mm shell, or is it a case of just cutting losses and getting the right size?

I realise they come in two different sizes, just need to know if there is a way to use an 83mm in 68mm, im thinking not?
