    OK I know I’m a bit behind the times here, but . . .

I’ve got two sets of wheels, MAVIC X223’s on My Epic and Maxic Cross Rides on my Trek, and after quite a few punctures lately I’m thinking of going tubless. Is a conversion possible using existing rims and tyres?

    Cheers.

Or just use electrical tape for the rim & get a couple of valves. I used ptfe tape around the valve base too, just to help it seal – not sure if it was necessary or not, but seemed a sensible precaution.

Your biggest issue will probably be your tyres – I gather from reading on here that some tyres work really well, others don’t.

I used the Spesh 2Bliss tyres that came with my bike – they are designed to be run tubeless, so it was pretty easy.
