So I’ve been lent a carbon seatpost to use in my carbon frame whilst my Reverb gets fixed.

I recall some nightmare stories about carbon posts swelling in carbon frames and ruining both. Is that still the case? Frame is Cannondale, seatpost is a Boardman OE one…

Was planning on using some fibregrip for lube/grip?

    Views appreciated. Thanks.

Never had an issue. Mine started slipping as it got older/moved up and down more so I applied some carbon grease thats supposed to increase friction. Didn’t really work, got a new seat clamp and that fixed it.

You’ll be fine, just make sure you use some fibre grip or similar to stop slipping and seizing.
