Car tyres price drop shocker!

Just ordered 2 Avon ZX7’s for our gas guzzling non essential environment killing SUV, £199.98 from Black Circles, £199.08 from local garage. That’s about £4.00 each cheaper than 3 months ago when I put 2 on the front.
I believe they’re made in the UK so don’t know if that’s anything to go by.
Makes a pleasant change though.

Each, but that’s not the point. It’s the fact that they’ve actually come down innit.

They do seem to naturally fluctuate a bit, I’ve found. Probably supply and demand etc. if they have a bunch of a particular size with excess stock.

I bought cross-climates on the hottest day of the year for about 30% less than you’ll pay for a set now…

I heard the rubber tappers had a good harvest in the Kampongs of East Angrier hence the price drop…

I hate buying tyres, never know which to get. Just end up going round in circles.

Maybe there’s excess supply as less new cars are being built and lock down restrictions reduced wear.

Couldn’t think of a pun, so brought it round to be a sensible thread. Hope I’m not retreading a point someone has already made.
