Cannondale describes this bike as “the lightest full power mountain bike ever”. But what does that mean? What is “full power” exactly? https://youtu.b

Looks a great bike, and seems to be picking up some good reviews.  Full power and range without being a heavy old lump.

As a self confessed Cannondale fan (still have a 2004 Jekyll with Lefty and currently have a 2017 Carbon Habit), I reckon that Cannondale have made this bike with a “Cannondale uniqueness” ie, the flex stay, sufficient to put people off, so if it doesn’t sell as planned, and when it gets to a more sensible price. I may be tempted.

I’ve had my Moterra (FF) (Full Fat, not SL) over a year now and considered moving to one of these. However, I don’t think I will – The Bosch motor is just so good, I don’t want to change to an unknown (to me), the flex stay has been compared to a Scalpel and I’ve seen carbon stays come unbonded on Scalpels, so that puts me off… plus the SL doesn’t have a removable battery. Nah, I’ll just upgrade the parts (wheels & forks probably) on my FF. It’s never felt like a fridge freezer on the trails, that is for sure.

Oh and now Trek have brought a lightweight e-Slash out, swines!
