taking my two boys for a cycling holiday and am going to try and do it without a trailer in tow this year, finding small but warm sleeping bags for them seems to be a bit tricky.

would be good to get them bags that will do till they are 10, as after that they can use the mountain of adult bags i own

Kids sleeping bags are never that good just go for one of yours and fold it in half for extra warmth

I think Deuter do some kids mummy shaped bags that might fit the bill

The other alternative might be to get a couple of Alpkit’s short length SkyeHighs – they’d be too long if your kids are still small, but it would mean there’s a fair bit of scope for growing into them, and they’d be very light for the warmth.

Failing that, you could always get a couple of 3 season synthetic bags and get someone like Scottish Mountain Gear to alter them for you?

Had seen the Deuter ones, but a little too short. Will look for a short adult one i think, guess most mothers don’t drag their kids around wild camping in April – but i’m sure i’m not the only one.

will measure the boys tomorrow and see if they will fit in those for longer enough, i thought i had seen an alpkit kids one but then couldn’t find it. thanks for that
