I have a c17 carved on the fatty which I find very comfy.

But was wondering what the c13 carved would be like on a road or gravel bike

I have c15 non-carved on my gravel bike.  Comfy place to sit 🙂

    Can’t comment on c13 tho.

Why would you move to a narrower saddle for a different bike? I thought saddle width was based on your sit bones and is therefore a fairly static consideration. I do like my C17 non-carved though, most comfortable saddle I’ve ever used.

    As Gotama ^^^^^ says.

I have seen recommendations that you can go narrower, a step down in size, if you are going from a very upright position to a very aggressive aero position.

I’d be sticking with what fits your arse.

*I’m a C17 convert, got them on all bikes, from Stooge, relaxed gravel, and reasonably tucked fixed gear.

On the current road bike I have a skinny thing so as you say big black shed it was because of more ‘roady’ position.

I have a new bike, it’s currently on a cruise, and was thinking for that.

More sensible would be to wait until it is back from it’s holidays and try the c17 on that

I have a C13 (though not carved) on my road/gravel bike. It seems good to me. I haven’t had my sit toes measured so no idea if it’s actually the right size. Note though that I am slight/thin/skinny.

I have a C17 which is great, but I didn’t get on with the C15 carved.

Worth noting that the c13 doesn’t follow the same sizing trend …. i.e. it’s not smaller than the c15

It comes in 2 sizes, both of which are between the c15 and c17 widths.

The main difference is the carbon looped rail. So you’d need a seatpost that can take the oval rails.

    I started with a C17 but swapped for a C15 which I preferred.

I’ve since swapped the C15 for a C13 in the same width purely for vanity reasons
