At what point did brazil switch from being the most loved team in world football to being so completely unlikable?

Because they won it 5 times then host the tournament again so it becomes a bit boring to support them again. Yes, if they are good then they deserve to win but no support from me I am afraid. I like to see new team winning.

You just know Fred is going to score the winner.

Only if the ball ricochets off his face from a yard out, surely?

Howard Webb not covering himself in glory.

He never does. I’m not sure where this reputation of being one of the best refs in the world comes from.

So for Chile vs Brazil, BBC have got in Hansen and Shearer.

I assume they forget they have Henry, Seedorf etc on the payroll.

    Missing Henry for sure..

After WV10 is Webb scared to use cards?

brazil are playing quite well considering they are playing with 2 men down !

I really don’t trust that Fred, he seems like quite the shady character.

“the best half we’ve seen all tournament” – Alan Hansen

    That’s a seriously bold claim.

It was a bloody good one!

Best so far for me, for pure entertainment! Algeria v Korea, second half

I’d like to see chile get through, but I think i’d like to see the atmosphere of a brazil-argentina final more, though both teams would be so scared of losing the game probably wouldn’t live up to it.

You have to be shitting me.

    Edit: HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA

On a sidenote, Mr Webb wants to be careful. You don’t want to make Hulk angry.

If they go out I hope Howie’s hotel has got good security…

Edit – being pedantic its Bruce banner you don’t want to make angry.

He’d have given that at Old Trafford.

    Hmmm.

If they go out I hope Howie’s hotel has got good security…

Probably best he just heads straight to the airport.

Handbaw IMO. Though need to see another replay. That still isnt conclusive, looks different in moving pictures.

Webb is bent as an Arabs dagger! At least sir Alex wasn’t paying this time

I thought it was fairly clearly handball from the front-on replay…

Can the BBC pundits stop calling Howard Webb, Howard FFS.

Heed the words of the Molgrips and dont try and recoup it with more crazy betting to recoup your loss

Was a handball IMHO as he could never have controlled it without some use of his arm.

Howard FFS – do they say what FFS stands for or are they pronouncing it phonetically?

What if Brazil do an engerland, and go out on penalties? Just a thought

Too late. Molgrips, as ever, was right. I have bet all my savings on England to win the WC.

The 2014 WC. Took some effort for the bookie to take my bet. Guess he was scared I am going to clear them out.

England have won a penalty shoot out like the world cup it was only once and at home [ though you did eventually go out on penalties anyway]

    Sanchez to Arsenal, please.

I reckon this one won’t go to penalties. Brazil with a breakaway goal against some tiring Chilean legs…

Nah, Chile to win on penalties with neymar missing. Then a Chinook landing in the centre circle and a bunch of guys in black drag Howard FFS aboard and he’s never seen again.

Joe just gave himself the slip…

    Sanchez to Arsenal, please

He has looked world class and I assume a few teams will want him.
Not us we are busy collecting players for the NO 10 role and shall use 5 in the hole and RvP

Martin Keon …”it about who wants it the most now”

    Tut, tut, Martin!!!

C’mon Chile but on penalties please. Nothing like a shoot out.

The realist in me, thinks Brazil will go through. Especially, as Medel has just gone off.

They’re looking the most likely, Chile starting to play for penalties…

Ramires is a dirty dirty player.

    More so than Suarez.
