Bikes to non-local airport – cheap van hire?

There a six of us travelling from Durham to Liverpool airport with boxed bikes. Any cheaper alternative than taking 3 cars? (probably £100 per vehicle with fuel and parking)

Hire a trailer and send someone on the train?

Hire a van one-way and drop it off there?

One way van hire seems to be coming up at £277.

Not one of our motors has a towbar – much to my continual Chagrain.

It seems like you'll need at least vehicles anyway to get you there. So the bikes will only require £100 extra. Or did you have a different plan for getting people there?

! car and a van would be ideal, just wonderd if anyone had any good van hire experince for this sort of thing. £300.. does that put us anywhere close to getting a minibus?
