Heading up north from the south coast …A34, M42,,M40-M6

For the Fred Whitton on Sunday..

I wouldn’t mind buying a new cycling top for the event… Have tried all my local shops but nothing I like.

So does anyone know of any really good cycle shops near to any of the above route..with a good stock of clothing.?

Wheelbase is your first decent shop, but Keith in Biketreks Ambleside)is probably the best informed bikey clothing geek in the country, makes a mean coffee too.. 😉 (good luck on the fred)

Leisure Lakes and the Edge in Lancaster worth a try before hitting the Cumbrian outlets.

Merlin as you can look online first just off the leyland junction

There’s also Ribble Cycles just off the M6 near Preston but you’ll need satnav as it’s difficult to find, you have to check online because like Merlin it’s a warehouse type place.
