Somewhere cheap, clean and safe for parking with work gear in the car. With a nice pub/place to eat or am I destined for the Red Squirrel and a tent?

Hi , try the rooms/bunkhouse at Inchree just south of Fort William , can be pretty cheap but decent enough with different options . Theres a pub with food right there . We’ve stayed there a few times, and its been all good.

The Blackwater Hostel in Kinlochleven cheap clean friendly, several pubs nearby but this might be the weak link. Macdonald Arms is the best of the bunch

Hardly worth it. Coffee, food and drive on.

You’ve never had a night in the drovers.

Bridge of orchy hotel would be okay too.

Keep on trucking, it is only a 2 hour drive from Glasgow and 35 minutes on a bad day from the Red Squirrel. I wouldn’t even consider stopping.

There is the campsite in Glencoe itself.

I’m driving from Northumberland via a ride at Glentress and have 2 nights in Fort William booked so not keep to blow it with 3 nights there…. It’s also way more expensive than anything else on the way hence wanting to do something different.

Couple of nice campsites in Tyndrum, or a bunkhouse etc. The Real Food Cafe is decent for food. Not sure about pubs.

Not exactly on the way but Comrie Croft only adds 25 miles and half an hour to the overall journey. Pretty much midge free as well unlike further west!

Camping or microlodges at Glencoe mountain. Wake up to one of the best veiws in Scotland. I’ve stayed at the bunkhouse at Onich too, clean and cheap, near as damnedest Fort William though.

MacDonald Hotel & Cabins, in Kinlochleven is decent – basic, but clean & comfy.

Cracking road down to it from the main A82 too.

Not much easily bookable it seemed so ended up in Tyndrum, good feed and beer in the pub and a good breakfast this morning, spot on distance wise actually coming up and sat out the truly grim part of the morning – not much of view going to be going on first thing from anywhere. Dropped in and rode the the Ciaran Path which was probably not the best choice
