Bearings suppliers please and which ones to buy

So with pending isolation I wondered if anyone could recommend a good online bearing supplier please. Once I get the kids to read the numbers I’m OK.
Also recommends on which quality ones to buy. There are 4 of us with at least 2 bikes each so can be pricey!!

We have the same problem. Been using this guy for quite some time. Think they are repacked with special grease.
Work just as well as buying the manufacturers ones

Simply bearings online. Proper industrial huge range, get branded ones rather than value ones. SKF or FAG etc.

Just got a set for my blur from MB Bearings

Tracey, I thought any one in South Yorkshire used Albion Transmission, Carlton, Barnsley. Malcolm there is a top bloke, sorts sizes and brands for value and or performance.No job too large or small.

Not us. Blue Seal is from our neck of the woods. Next day delivery from their ebay site and the Specialized size headset bearings are far better than any other we have used for keeping smooth

I had some Blue Seal bearings in a Hope PF46 BB. They lasted no time at all before seizing badly, about 6 weeks.

The genuine Hope bearings I bought from the LBS are still smooth after 6 months, so it can’t be the way I fitted them.

I’ve been running them in a Hope bottom bracket in my Enduro for over 18 months and still going strong, as they are in 9 of our headsets. Can’t fault them but do understand like any other brand people may have problems.

I got my bearings for my blur from MB Bearings, under £60 for the set, simply bearings were £100, and they were both offering enduro max bearings

What bearings depends what you need, what bike/component. Can also match fancy bike bearing brands with generic if you get the right spec for bearing and seals. Though Enduro do fancy things with theirs for bike use, though arguable how much difference it really makes. Still SB do them also.

I tried blue seal bearings years ago, agree with boomerlives, not durable, despite quality grease and decent seals and I cant find any abec3 abec5 standards mentioned on their ebay site.
Personally I’d stick to the decent brands. Enduro and Enduro max for frame pivots are my go to. Pricing up at simplybearings for my hubs and frames made me shout f#!k that, every bearing was overpriced, it’s a ten minute bike ride from my place and I still won’t use them.

Enduro are pricey. That’s why I’m thankful for Santa Cruz lifetime bearing warranty. 8 bearings – free.

I’ve used simply for basic bearings and seals. Stuff turns up next day. ACBs tend to be more expensive wherever though I’ve been using Superstar for headset bearings.

Stuff like bottom bracket, as I use GXP, I just buy another BB. £20. Price of two bearings and no need to faff extracting and pressing the bearings.
